About Jumbo
Jumbo can walk you through the process of placing an advert or you
can jump straight to another heading.
Don’t worry we’ll make it really easy for you. Thousands
of local people use us each week so you are in good company. The next
few steps will take just a few moments.
Register
First you will need to register, and for that we’ll take your
name, email address and postcode. These will help us to get in touch
with you if we need to.
We won’t pass your details onto other people.
Login
Once registered you can login to Jumbo and place your ad.
Categories
Once you have logged in to the site you can now start to choose where
you would like your advert to appear.
Which category best describes your item?
Don’t worry if these seem too general, once you click onto your
chosen category you will be taken to another page which will have a
more detailed listing underneath the top category. ie. under motors,
you will find accessories, tyres, garages caravans and motorcycles,
as well as different types and price of car.

Advert Details
Now all you need to do is type in what you want to sell.
Please don't put all your items in one
advert.
It’s free to advertise in most categories, and there are
no limits as to how many ads you can enter.
Advert Tips
Make your advert simple to read, be to the point and make sure
you put in the vital information,
· What is the item.
· How much do you want to sell it for.
· Telephone number.
plus information that your buyer will find important.
· How old is it
· What sort of condition is it in
· What size is it
· Describe its colour
· Preferred contact times, ie. After 6pm

Jumbo
will
now
create
your
ad.

Pricing
The next page is confirming all of the aspects of your advert, category,
the text for the advert, the date of inclusion and most importantly
how much will it cost.
For private advertisers it is absolutely free to advertise
in most categories as many items as you wish, there are no catches.
Then Click Submit Ad
You have now entered your item!
You will get a reference number and reconfirmation of the information.
Now you can either log off and wait for the phone to start ringing or,
place a new order for another advert.

Searching
for
ads
Use
the
search
to
hunt
by
general
category
for
a
full
list
of
adverts
in
any
section,
narrowing
your
search
by
choosing
from
the
sub-category
menu
as
well.
You
can
also
be
very
specific
by
using
the
text
search
-
either
in
combination
with
the
category
and
sub-
category
or
on
its
own.
FAQ's
Q1: How do I register?
A: To register click here and fill in the form with the required details.
Your password will keep your information secure. Choose a password which
is personal to you – and which is easy to remember.
Q2: Can I change my details?
A: Yes. Simply click on member details which appears top right once
you have logged into jumbo and go into your details here to alter them.
Q3: I’ve forgotten my password, what do I do.
A: If you have forgotten your password, login as normal but instead
of clicking login click on the forgotten password link. This will send
your password to the email address you entered when you registered.
Q4: What happens if my registration or log-in does not work?
A: You may not have cookies enabled. A cookie is a piece of code which
allows our system to recognise you when you revisit the site. To see
if you have cookies enabled:
Internet Explorer:
Go to the Tools/Internet Option. Then click on Security, then on the
click on the custom button. Scroll down to Cookies and check to see
if they are enabled.
Netscape Navigator:
From the Edit menu, choose Preferences, and then Advanced. Click: Accept
all cookies.
